I don't know if my cockatiel Charlie Bird is male or female. He/she screeches, lunges, huffs, and sways back and forth a lot, and his/her crest is always standing up. I've had Charlie Bird for a year and has not laid any eggs (yet). What Charlie Bird does is rip up the newspaper from the bottom of the cage, nibbles it and spits it out. Are these female or male behaviors? I taught Charlie bird "If you're happy and you know it clap your hands" and we will whistle it back and forth to each other until he/she gets tired. LOL! I talk to Charlie Bird, but Charlie doesn't talk back yet, hopefully soon. Oh and someone please explain the projectile pooping. I clean the cage 4 times a day :(

Woah- she really gained trust with you guys QUICK, its been 3 weeks and my budgie wont go on my hand- and he wont eat treats either, and the fact he instantly went to sleep is CRAZY? most birds wont sleep for a few days until their comfortable ,, but ig thats because we haven’t let him out the cage

hey a friendly tip birds should not be on dowel perches even though you chisel them and plastic bowls will have lots os bacteria and get dirtier over a short amount of time. :)

Pearl looks exactly like my new tiel, Herb. Herb is only about 4 months old and still has the baby feathers but will probably soon look just like Pearl 😍

That's amazing! I know I am commenting this after awhile, but just a heads up, the reason pillow was sitting on your hands was because it looked like he was in shock! Birds can go into this state if they feel stressed/anxious/scared/nervous. Make sure you take good care of him though! He is in a good home! 💗💗
